1. Significance of Our Privacy Policy
This policy, based on the Information and Communications Network Act, aims to explain in an easy-to-understand and detailed manner how Catch The Moment processes your personal information. This policy is significant for the following reasons:
- It outlines what information is collected, how it is used, how it may be shared with others (e.g., through consignment or provision), and when and how information that has fulfilled its purpose is destroyed.
- It informs you, as the data subject, of your rights regarding your personal information and how you can exercise them. It also details the rights that a legal guardian (e.g., a parent) can exercise to protect the privacy of children under 19.
- In case of a privacy breach, it provides contact information to help mitigate further harm and assist in recovering any damages that may have occurred.
- Above all, it serves as a means to guarantee your right to self-determination of personal information by stipulating the relationship between Catch The Moment’s actions and the rights and obligations of its users.
2. Personal Information We Collect
Catch The Moment collects only the minimum amount of personal information necessary to provide its services.
Information collected at the time of membership registration:
- Required fields: ‘ID, Password, Email’.
- For children under 19: We may also collect additional legal guardian information, including their name, date of birth, gender, Duplicate Registration Information (DI), and mobile phone number.
- Optional fields: Gender and date of birth.
Information collected during service use:
- Additional personal information may be collected during individual service use, event participation, and prize application. In such cases, we will inform you about the specific items to be collected, the purpose of collection and use, and the retention period at the time of collection.
- During service use, records like IP address, cookies, visit dates, records of improper use, and device information may be automatically generated and collected.
- Specifically, this information is collected either by 1) an information and communication service provider automatically generating and storing user data during service use, or 2) by securely collecting a user’s device’s unique information after it has been converted.
Methods of collection:
- Personal information is collected when you agree to its collection and directly input the information during member registration and service use.
- Your personal information may be collected through web pages, emails, faxes, or phone calls during consultations with our customer service representatives.
- Information may be collected offline, such as at events or seminars, via written forms.
- When receiving personal information from our partners, we do so only after they have obtained your consent, in accordance with the Information and Communications Network Act.
- Generated information, such as device information, may be automatically collected during the use of our PC web or mobile web/app.
3. Use of Collected Personal Information
Catch The Moment uses your personal information only for the following purposes, including member management, service development and improvement, and establishing a secure internet environment.
- We use personal information for member management, including identity verification for membership, age confirmation, legal guardian consent, and processing membership withdrawal requests.
- We use your information for new service development, including demographic analysis, service visit and usage history analysis, building user relationships based on interests, and improving existing services.
- We use personal information for user protection and service operation, such as restricting members who violate the terms of use, preventing and sanctioning fraudulent activities, preventing account theft and illegal transactions, record preservation for dispute resolution, and handling complaints.
- If paid services are available, we use personal information for authentication, purchase and payment processing, and delivery of goods and services.
- We use personal information for marketing and promotional purposes, such as providing event information and opportunities for participation, and delivering advertising content.
- We use personal information for service utilization analysis, including analyzing service usage records and access frequencies, generating statistics, and providing customized services and advertisements based on those statistics.
- We use personal information to build a secure service environment, ensuring user safety, privacy, and security.
4. Providing and Entrusting Personal Information
As a rule, Catch The Moment does not provide personal information to external parties without your consent.
- We do not provide personal information to external entities without your prior consent. However, in cases where you have directly consented to the provision of your information to use a partner’s service, or when required by relevant laws and regulations, we will only provide the necessary personal information after confirming your consent.
5. Destruction of Personal Information
In principle, Catch The Moment promptly destroys your personal information upon membership withdrawal.
- However, if you have separately consented to a specific retention period, or if the law mandates that information be stored for a certain period, we will securely keep the information during that time.
- An example of a case where separate consent for retention is obtained:
- Records of fraudulent activity, such as unauthorized sign-ups and disciplinary actions, are kept for six months from the collection date to prevent repeated fraudulent use, and are then destroyed.
- Personal information is destroyed in a way that makes it impossible to reproduce once the purpose of its collection and use has been achieved (e.g., membership withdrawal, service termination, or the expiration of the consented retention period).
- Information that must be retained by law is also destroyed in a way that cannot be reproduced after the expiration of the required period.
- Electronic files are securely deleted using technical methods that prevent recovery and playback. Printed documents are destroyed by shredding or incineration.
- Note that, in accordance with the “personal information expiration system,” we separately store the personal information of members who have not used the service for one year.
6. Rights of Users and Legal Guardians and How to Exercise Them
- You can exercise your right to withdraw consent for the collection and use of your personal information at any time by withdrawing your membership.
- For children under 19, the legal guardian has the right to view or modify the child’s personal information and to withdraw consent for its use and collection.
- If you request a correction of an error in your personal information, we will not use or provide that information until the correction is completed. If the incorrect information has already been provided to a third party, we will notify them without delay to ensure the correction is made.
7. Catch The Moment’s Efforts to Protect Privacy
Catch The Moment goes beyond the requirements of the Information and Communications Network Act and the Personal Information Protection Act to securely manage and protect your personal information.
- We encrypt your personal information.
- Information requiring encryption, such as passwords, unique identification numbers, and email addresses, is further encrypted and stored in accordance with the law.
- We securely manage personal information against internal and external security threats.
- To prevent the leakage or damage of member information from hacking or computer viruses, we install our systems in areas with controlled external access. We also back up data frequently to prevent damage and use the latest antivirus programs. We securely send and receive personal information over the network via encrypted communication.
- We minimize the number of employees handling personal information.
- We limit the number of employees with access to personal information and separate the internal network from the external internet network for employee PCs that can download data from the personal information processing system. We also continuously emphasize the importance of member data protection through regular and ad-hoc training and campaigns for all employees.

9. Scope of This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to Catch The Moment and its related services (including mobile web/apps). Other brands may have separate privacy policies. This policy does not apply to personal information collected on websites linked to Catch The Moment after you have consented to provide your information to those third-party sites.
10. Duty to Notify of Revisions
If any additions, deletions, or modifications are made to this Privacy Policy, we will notify you through a notice at least 7 days prior to the revision. However, if there are significant changes to your rights, such as changes to the collected personal information items or the purpose of use, we will provide at least 30 days’ notice.
